The Fear Handle
Fear is an indication that you’re awake and on the right path. Even if the path seems dark and gloomy. Let me repeat that:
Fear is an indication that you’re awake and on the right path.
Empowering, huh?
The question is – when faced with the “Fear Handle”, will you turn it OFF or turn it ON?
You’ve got the handle in your hand. You are in full control. What will you do with it?
Rushing to turn it off will result in blocked creativity, dampened dreams and a somewhat boring existence.
Turning it on full blast will result in an overflowing bathtub leaving you soaking wet with a whole lot of water damage.
Finding that “just right spot” – that’s the key. Somewhere in the middle, where it flows like syrup from a maple tree.
Slow + Steady.
Letting a little fear into your life will challenge you to dig deep and uncover the long-lost courage of your childhood (you know, the courage that said it would be fun and safe to jump off the swing when it was 15 feet in the air?).
Fear is the Father of Courage and the Mother of Safety. ~ Henry H. Tweedy
I’m often asked if I ever feel fear. This question makes me smile and the answer is always a confident: Hell, yeah!
Of course I experience fear. All the time. Almost daily.
It’s what keeps me going, it’s what keeps me charged. Keeping it under control (not too hot, not too cold) is how I stay keep my sanity.
Kindly allow me to repeat myself:
Fear is an indication that you’re awake and on the right path.
It doesn’t mean the path is always shiny, bright and lined with golden bricks. There will be obstacles, roadblocks and three-headed monsters along the way. That’s part of the journey. Embrace it all.
You’ve got the handle in your hand, dear one.
Let a little fear flow…
How do you handle fear?
Do you run away from it or use it to guide you on your journey?

Brahmacharya: Moderation. Seeing the Divine in Everything. Even when it comes to fear.

to me… Fear is believing I can control the future… The ‘what if’s’.. and the ‘but’s’. Truth is. I cannot control what will happen any more than I can control the weather. So, I just ask myself, if the worst happens, would I have been able to have forseen it… NO!. I will deal with whatever comes at that MOMENT. So I let it go. Live in the NOW. Fear creates unnecessary dis-ease in my body and Im doing it to myself with my over active imagination and believing illusions created by society. Its a big beautiful world, I simply refuse to miss a thing because I was afraid.
I used to be scared of fear, not sure what to do, what decision to make or how to handle it. I used to look for ways out….. in what I have learned was the most unhealthy ways. Over the years I have found confidence, clarity and my inner light. Now when fear shows up I recognize the feelings I get in my body. If it is a fear of something I shouldn’t do, i recognize what my body tells me. If it is a fear of something that will challenge for the good me I find an inner excitement and try my best to follow that. It has taken many years of learning this and many highs and lows. Now I focus on what my body tells me because it is my best guide through fear.
In the past I was afraid of it, now I embrace it. I allow it to walk beside me and be my friend. I now know that I am now safe in every situation and there is no reason to fear, after all it is trigger to let us know to stay in this moment of now.
