Manifesting Magic

A few days ago, I was on a coaching call with a client when the subject turned to manifestation and the art of attracting what you want in your life.

“How do you do it?” was the question posed to me. “How do you manifest so many amazing things in your life?”

I began to reflect upon all of the incredible opportunities that have surrounded me over the last two years, then proceeded to go further back into my life.  Manifesting want I wanted/needed seemed to be an art I developed at quite a young age.   I’m not talking about manifesting mountains of money but rather attracting people, opportunities and experiences.

Landing jobs that I wanted,  closing big accounts during my media days, getting backstage at concerts during my younger years, finding perfect parking spots in busy parkades, meeting Wayne Dyer (and talking to him about my book idea..which happened exactly the way I had envisioned), meeting Deepak Chopra, having full retreats and workshops and – living the life that I am today.

Since I began to practice the principles of The Yoga Code, this ability to manifest has grown to new levels.  By become more aware and “awake” we all enter into a deeper state of expansion, attracting what at times might seem to be the impossible.

I consciously manifested all of it and I refuse to call any of this “luck”.

I’m not special or gifted – although I’m quite sure my parents would say I’m both :)

During this conversation, I shared with her how I seemed to manifest mini-miracles throughout my life – and how she indeed could do the same.  We all can.  Here’s a brief glimpse into how I created some of my most memorable experiences.

1. Alignment.   The starting point – do not skip this step! The first thing I do is get clear on what I want and then ask myself  “Do I really want this?”.  If you are an environmentalist who believes in conserving our planetary resources and are trying to manifest a shiny new Hummer in your driveway, chances are you won’t be driving one anytime soon. Or ever.  Knowing your core values and living in integrity is essential to the process of attraction.  What you want needs to be in alignment with who you are.

2. Visualize. I have the ability to vividly see EXACTLY what I want to experience, almost in a psychic way (no, I won’t be launching a psychic hotline anytime soon).  I envision every detail, almost as though it has already happened.  I don’t create an official vision board, but have often thought about it.  My mind becomes my vision board.

3. Believe.  Every cell in my body becomes enveloped with a knowing that this will happen.  There are no doubts.  “Of course this is possible” becomes my motto.  “Why wouldn’t it happen?”  Have you ever believed in something so deeply that you felt it in the core of your being?  Get to this place.

4. Surrender.  The final and most important step.  In The Yoga Code, Surrender (Ishvara Pranidhana) is the 10th and final principle.  It asks us to trust that there is a Divine force at work and that it holds all the answers for us.  After putting my requests out there for the Universe to hear, I continue to practice Steps 1, 2 & 3 but with a sense of release. I trust that this Divine force will take care of everything. FULLY TRUST. The blood-sister, pinky swear kind of trust.  If it was meant to be, it will happen – WHEN it was meant to happen. I practice patience.  So much patience. I’ve learned to not mess with the Universe’s day timer.

Upon completing this conversation, thoughts of manifestation were on my mind all evening.  I spoke of it while teaching my yoga class that evening.  I started crafting out this blog.

Every morning, I receive a “Note from the Universe” in my inbox.  They are almost eerily accurate and relevant.  However, the note I received the morning after the coaching session on miracles and manifestation was exceptional – it stopped me, leaving me breathless for a brief moment.

Here’s what it said:

Did you know, Jackie, that you can expect extraordinary miracles to manifest in your life about 2% more often, simply by learning that your thoughts become the things and events of your life?

And that you can expect extraordinary miracles to manifest about 25% more often, when you not only learn this, but you also visualize at least several times a week?

“Oh, cowabunga.”

But when you understand “thoughts become things,” you visualize, and you begin saying and doing things, every day, that you’ve never said or done before, the onslaught of serendipities and coincidences are immeasurable.

“Holy #$%^! I’ll have what she’s having!”

Yeah, sounds like it’s worth it –

The Universe

Need I say more?

Now – shut off your computer and start manifesting.

What would you like to manifest in your life? (put it out there!)

I invite you to share your thoughts below.

I would like to manifest a new product line to wholesale to promoters so I could manifest extra income without having to be working a trade show to create that income. Then I could spend my time on things that I would like to do and help my son with his education and his dreams and goals of becoming a pilot which by the ways is an endless pit of money!

Thank you for the great piece on manifestation. What stands out for me is “alignment” I have never been able to focus on the one true thing I love. Maybe because I’m trying to do too much? Maybe the fear of the unknown? This will definately help me pin point , SURRENDER and MANIFEST!.

  12. Beulah Castan says:

Learning stillness is powerful. Learning to trust totally in yourself without a doubt. Learning that the Universe will provide and trusting that. Learning not to be afraid to give out totally the love that you feel within without holding back just in case it is not well received. Not being fearfully but trusting in yourself totally to be yourself and all will be well.

  13. What a great article! I definitely have moments of amazing miracles in my life and I remember doing these same things as well during those moments. I believe we are born knowing this intuitively and sometimes we need help to remember how miraculous we truly are. Thank you for helping us to remember :)
